Chapman’s of Sevenoaks
Nature of business:
Chapman’s of Sevenoaks supplies superior, locally sourced fish and seafood to many of the very best restaurants and hotels in Kent, East Sussex, Surrey and London.
Background:
Chapman’s required to expand its preparation areas into another building to improve the presentation of its own business and increase its work space.
Problems faced by the client:
The existing building was too small to house the volume of additional space the company required.
Objective:
To be able to increase the volume of business and ensure the company’s high levels of Health and Safety were adhered to.
Solution:
We designed and constructed a purpose-built, independent preparation room with chilled and frozen stores that could at any point in time be located to a new site. The room is comprised of two coupled 2.8 m x 14.6 m box bodies with divided cold store facilities and a main, climate-controlled fish and seafood preparation area, complete with wash-down facilities and drainage.
